DEVIANT was formed in early 2002 by Johan, EB and Magnus in Uppsala, Sweden. The local madman Alx joined the band to do the vokills and a bassplayer joined shortly before being 'lifted from duties'. Some live shows were executed before the debut demo was recorded in August of 2003. The debut demo, simply entitled Deviant was unleashed in November 2003 and led to a deal with the Italian label The Spew Records in early 2004. During 2004, the band spent the first half of the year playing shows and planning the debut album. Erik joined on bass in January. The second half of the year was spent writing material for what was to become Larvaeon. Erik left the band in October. The debut album, Larvaeon, was recorded during December and early January '04/'05 in EAR Studios (where also the demo was recorded). Fredrik filled in on the bass spot after the recording and was publicly announced in March of '05. Larvaeon, heavily delayed, was released in August 2005. However, gathering circumstances generated an anti-climax upon the album's release and nothing much was heard from DEVIANT until late 2006 when a new studio session generated the Apathyphus 3" MCD. With the MCD freshly recorded DEVIANT held a night of frenzy in hometown Uppsala before impending hibernation. Apathyphus, originally meant to be a promo-release, was released in the summer of 2007 with uncertain seas ahead.

Founding members Tim Hale and Max Seeman started writing music in 2001 with the intentions of creating extreme, yet highly aesthetic death metal. While Tim had been a fan of such brutal acts as Cannibal Corpse, Cryptopsy and math metallers Meshuggah for some time before, Max, on the other hand, was more a fan of the psychedelic/blues rock of Pink Floyd and the entrancing beats of DJ Shadow. When the two of them started creating music together, an interesting dynamic developed between Tim’s heavier influences and Max’s more eclectic tastes. The duo realized that the complexity and chaos of their death metal aspects were complimented by the more calming and stirring qualities of their clean passages and Jazz/fusion-inspired solos (think Allan Holdsworth). Thus, Tim and Max sought to compile a full line up to fill out there sound and take their music to the stage, under the name Anomalous. Months after the two started writing music, Tim and Max acquired a drummer in Steve Powell and started to practice as a three piece. When the trio became solid enough, they decided to try to play some shows, regardless of the missing bassist and vocalist. In 2004, years after the original two members started to write the music that became Anomalous, the trio played a few shows to a great response from the crowds. Word was starting to spread and Anomalous was on their way to playing bigger shows until tension mounted between Tim and drummer Steve. Later on that same year, Steve quit the band and Anomalous was a duo again. Tim and Max played temporarily with another drummer, but it did not work out either. Consequently, Anomalous seemed doomed. However, in 2005, Tim and Max decided to take matters into their own hands and program the drums using sampling and sequencing software. The idea had pumped new life into the project and resulted in the recruitment of Nate Vennarucci on bass. During the following year the new trio recorded a 5 song MCD entitled Cognitive Dissonance on their own budget (with Tim handling vocal duties) and uploaded tracks onto the ever-popular Myspace website. The songs garnered many fans for Anomalous, but more importantly got the attention of the Brutal Bands label owner Scott Ellingboe. In July 2006 Scott offered the band a contract for two releases (including Cognitive Dissonance) and in September Anomalous signed with the burgeoning brutal death metal label. Currently, Anomalous is starting to practice their material from the MCD and write for their full length debut. Anomalous is also still on the lookout for a permanent drummer so that they may take the next step forward in bringing their unique brand of progressive death metal to the masses.

The Band was founded in 2001 by M.Helle and T.Kuusela after their previous Black-Metal band was split up. At that point the musical direction wasn't so clear. At first we had lot's of troubles to find the other musicans to the band but eventually we found a proper guitarist and basist to the band(K.Lilja and Thomas Vee(Iconofear). After that we started to make new songs but they weren nothing like Sear is nowdays, it was lot's of slower material. Whith this group we recorded one demo with tony steel(Done) in drums but after that we had again problems to find a permanent drummer. After a while we Found a new drummer L.Laaksonen and invited him to do a "test" play and he was so good that we took him into the band after one rehersals. L.Laaksonen was so talented that now i could make these faster and trickier death metal songs But the other members K.Lilja and Thomas Vee didn't like these songs so we kind of splitted up. Basicly this was the start of Sear as you know nowdays. So again we werewithout a bassplayer and second guitarist but we found a proper bassplayer quite fast(M.Nieminen) and then we took another guitarist (Alex) and played one gig, but the second guitarist wasn't a right guy for us so our ways parted. After that we recorded a promo: Realm of lies falling down and it got very good reviews from the media and fans. After that Dynamicartsrecords contacted us and we started to talkabout making a record deal with them. At this point we had a new guitarplayer (S.wass) with us. At the start of 2005 we singned a 3 record deal with dynamicartsrecords and started to record a full lenght album. Begin The Celebrations Of Sin Released 25.04.05. And it got very praising reviews from the media and we were nominated as the best newcommers of the year in finnish metal awards 2005. At the summer 2005 T.Kuusela and M.Nieminen left the band for personal reasons but very soon we found H.Hyytiäinen and T.Landen to replace them. After that me we started to write new material to the second album, but at the summer 2006 S.Wass was made to leave the band because the lack of intrest...but our longtime friend J.Henttunen joined the band right away and now Sear is stronger than ever.
