Molested was formed in May 1991 by Øystein G. Bruun on guitars and Erlend Erichsen on drums. At that time they were known as Purgation but they soon changed it into Molested. A month later Kenneth Lian (bass) and Trond Turnes (guitars) joined and they started to rehearse more seriously. In 1992 they recorded a demo during 8 hours in a 16-track studio which resulted in "Stalk The Dead". After the release they went to work on new material even harder than before and recorded a second demo entitled "Unborn Woods In Doom", this time in a professional 24-track studio that had been used by bands like Immortal, Burzum, Mayhem, Enslaved, Emperor and Old Funeral. They signed a deal with Effigy Records and released their debut album in late December 1994 and a mini album in 1996 before the label folded. Molested signed a new deal with the Spanish label Repulse Records in 1995 but in 1997 the band broke up before another release.
