Constant Paranoia is a band from the Dutch “Bollenstreek”. Founded in the summer of ’99 by guitarists Jaco and Michel and quickly joined by drummer Chiel and bassist Rene. The line-up was completed early 2001 with singer Gijs. Not long after the release of the first demo “Bloodwritten Rehearsals”, Gijs decided to quit the band. The rest of the members kept working on new songs but it took until late 2002 until a suitable new grunter was found. With new vocalist Pier and a new demo on the way, the band is back in the brutal metal scene. Because the members of Constant Paranoia have gained a lot of experience in other bands/projects, you can say Constant Paranoia is a quality band with musicians that know what they are doing. The music of Constant Paranoia is best to describe as technical Doom/Death Metal with a hint of 80s Thrash, and the inventive guitarparts give the whole a sharp but still melodic edge. The result is a compact and heavy Death Metal basis with weird riffs, breaks and bizarre solo’s completed with grunt and melodic vocals! Constant Paranoia has a great podium appearance in which the experience of the members also shows itself. A Constant Paranoia performance stays fascinating and will leave the audience satisfied!!!!
