PASSWORD: http://beyondthenothingness.blogspot.comS.C.D. was brought forth with the idea to participate in the creation of the most brutal music. Each member was influenced by the death, grind, crust or hardcore scenes. The principal intention since the creation of the band in the end of 1996 was to put in a concrete form a personal expression of extreme music. This direction was never left behind and stays the more characteristic choice of S.C.D. Beyond individual affinities of each one, the multiple experiences of the band are now our real motivation. Each new album or new gig is a next step in our extreme way. The split tape S.C.D. / Infected Pussy (self-produced in July 1997), has concretized the first months' band life. From this first recording, the band grew up by a multiplication of gigs and festivals, and conquered the most extreme underground scene. The split cd S.C.D. / ROT made in august 1998 on the french label Bones Brigade has consolidated the band's foundations and permits us to find the support of a less confidential press and audience. More than two years separated this originally step to the coming out of our first full length album in March 2001. During this time, SCD has acquired a lot of experience by making lots of gigs and festivals, giving to the band a strong identity. A split 7" S.C.D. / Lymphatic Phlegm, recorded in March 2000, stays an intermediary stage in the evolution of the band. Our second full length cd was produced by Osmose Productions in 2003. This cd has concretized two years of hard work, giving us many important opportunities of tours and gigs (as a long tour over the US in 2003). Summer 2003, an important step shacked SCD. Two members left the band and with them, the opportunity to pursue our tours and all the gigs we planned. At this time again, we worked hard and finally found the best musicians to replace the missing ones. We started from the beginning, teached the old songs the new members, made few gigs and compose new songs with the full participation of the fresh newcomers. This new blood gave to SCD a lot of new ideas and developed our way in writing and composing songs. The first issue of this collaboration can be heard on the SLIMEWAVES SERIES VOL. 2, a 1,000 copies limited 7” split with Cripple Bastards. Out on legendary RELAPSE RECORDS in December 2006, it features exclusive recording of new songs that will be on the third full length. “INVENTORY OF FIXTURES” is its name. Featuring Dirk Verbeuren at the drums, it's out now on BIZARRE LEPROUS PRODUCTIONS. It’s certainly the most professional stuff ever created in ten years of the band’s life. We learned a lot since the first years of the band and we are now able to make a professional work on cd as on stage. Expect a raw, powerful but clear sound and more than ever, raging, blasting and headbanging songs. All that featuring a killer artwork with the best quality ever.
