Unspoken was formed in Sept 2002 and consisted of Misha on guitar/bass, Daniel on guitar and Jostein on drums. Kent Are joined for vocals in November. We recorded a 4 track rehearsal demo but never sent it out to anyone. Misha departed in late December. During January 2003 we made a new song named “beg for mercy”, and this was a more deathmetal-related song than the 4 demo songs we had made before, which was more in the doom-metal area. During spring/summer 2003 we got second guitarist Tron and we were almost a complete band. In January 2004 we added Julian on bass and from here Unspoken began to take shape. In the summer 2004 we recorded our new 5 track demo. After releasing this demo we gave some copies away and got good feedback from the public as well as local "big shots" in the metal scene in Oslo. In December 2005 we entered Lionheart studios and finally recorded our debut album, called “Primal Revelation”. Shortly after the finish of the album, we got a contract with the French label “Soundspheric Records”. This was cancelled few months later because the label manager died. We released the cd on our own, and got good reviews from Scream Magazine (5/6) and heavymetal.no (7,5/10). The two gigs we have done at Club Maiden recently have also given us a chance to emerge from the underground. After performing at the successful Inferno Festival in Oslo, Daniel chose to leave the band of personal reasons. Jonas Leidland have stepped in as the new guitarist, and with him we are looking forward to deliver better, louder and more brutal music in the following months. Stay tuned and stay Metal!
