DECOMPOSED GOD is a death metal act originating from Recife/Brazil. The band was formed in 1991. As a result, the debut demo tape "Key of Immortality" was released in late 1992, demonstrating a mixture of grind with primitive brutal death. Following the demo release, DECOMPOSED GOD performed several times in small gigs and metal-fests. In 1993 participed at its first compilation entitled "Death is Just the End...", released by Tarkus Records. In 1994 recorded the second DT "Dawn of Celestial Shadows". The overall result was sicker with faster playing, tighter sound, professional artwork and got wider distribution. On the next year, DECOMPOSED GOD was invited to cast another compilation. In 1996 out "Omnisciens - Tribute to Dorsal Atlantica", a tribute to the first metal band form Brazil, Dorsal Atlantica, released by Rock Shop Records. Many more shows followed this year. This time they decided to handle the production and the mixing themselves in order to reach the killer outcome, the first full length "Choir of the Tormented Spirit". The band not released this cd because has suffered stronger changes in line up. Two years later, with the new line up, begins the production of the first CD. In September of 2000, "The Last Prayer" finally hit the underground. "The Last Prayer" received overwhelming reviews from the global underground establishing DECOMPOSED GOD as one of Brazilian´s most death metal values. Several local shows followed, giving DECOMPOSED GOD the opportunity to share the stage with internationally-acclaimed bands like Krisiun, Sepultura, Incantation and Iconoclasm, to headline numerous local gigs and metal-fests and toured with underground bands like Nephasth, Headhunter D.C., Obskure, Dorsal Atlantica, Expose Your Hate, Queiron, Ophiolatry, Subtera, Disgrace and Terror, and many others. In this same year cast another compilation, "The Winds of a New Millennium Vol. 03", released by Demise Records. Now, the band is working on their upcoming studio album and will be released by Hate Music. Planning further touring activity for the near future.
