Tombthroat developed 1996 from a Black Metal band in which Alex (drums) and Björn (guitar) made noise before. At this point of time Tombthroat was a pure Grindcore band. After founding member Dirk (guitar / vocals) left and Evil Ass joined as the new vocal frontpig, the musical spectrum became much bigger. The first demo-tape was recorded in 1999. It became a real cruel grind monster but isn't available anymore (we hope so!). With new bass terrorizer Ewool (ex-Disembowled, now Fragments Of Unbecoming) Tombthroat recorded their first CD "Evil Fuckin' Zombie Riot" in 2000. After the recording Ewool left the band and Peter joined the bastard-crew. In this formation the two cult-MCD's "The Revenge Of Evil" (2001) and "Slaughtered, Gutted And Pissed On" (2002) got unleashed. After the recordings Tombthroat played some shows again with bands like Master, Veneral Disease, Fragments Of Unbecoming and Legacy. In 2004 Tombthroat signed to Twilight and released their second full length CD "Out Of The Tomb" worldwide and started their first european tour supporting the mighty Vital Remains in 2005. After a short break, Tombthroat returned with a brand new kind of brutality and unleashed the CD "Bloodred History" in early 2007. A real nasty warhead, ready to lay the world to ashes! As a logical conclusion Tombthroat hit the road again in 2007. Again with the mighty Vital Remains, again to leave a scene of destruction...
