Sect of Execration started under the name "Malthusia" in 1999 when we recorded the tracks (Exanimating The Deity) and (Scriptural Manipulation) at Triple Sick Studios with members Hank Thompson (drums), Gabriel Ayala (guitar), Robert Moore (guitar), and Steven Watkins (vocals, guitar, bass). Then in 2000, Hank and Robert left the band and Jeremy Peterson was brought in on drums, Daniel Hearne on bass, Steven stayed on guitar and vocals, along with studio bass and Gabriel remained on guitar. With this line up we recorded the first two songs on this album. (Baptized Through Blasphemy) & (Hatred is Bliss) Steven parted ways with these members and recorded the last two songs on the album (How Feeble the Words of Christ) & (Disgusted by the Faith) at Dallas Sound Lab with Dobber (Infernal Dominion/Braced for Nails) on drums, Steven on guitar, vocals, and studio bass on the last song. Mark from Images of Violence is now playing bass full-time. So the current line up is Steven - Guitar/Vocals/ electronics, Mark - Bass, and Dobber - Drums/Guitar/Electronics etc. [fuck! that was "wordy"]
