GOREGAST comes from Oderbruch and Berlin (Germoney) and their originally foundation was on 1993 with the name: DISTRESS. The founding members were: Mirko Rösener at the bass, Jörn Böttcher at the guitar, Sven Fleischer likewise at the guitar, Rewie Zimmermann at the drums and Rico Unglaube vokillz. 1994- our first Demo " H.I.H. " just 250 times exemplars -sold out. 1995- our following second Demo named: " Putrid Corpse " just 500 exemplars -sold out. We gave at this time very much concerts together with MANGLED TORSOS, DRITTE WAHL, ILLDISPOSED, DISGUST, MANOS, MALEDICTIVE PIGS, DEAD, ENTRAILS MASSACRE and much others more. 1997- we decided to take a break. This break was seven years long. at this time exactly 2003, year of publication from the first and second Demo CD, this Demo was just 100 times published and was very fast sold. Hardly to believe but Jörn Böttcher now at base, Rico Krause-Guitar, Steve Kleinert- Guitar, Josch Stitzke-Drums and Rico Unglaube-Vocals decided in Summer 2005 finally to wake up and let Distress rebirth again. It was just a little problem, Distress was the name of an other Band and that is why we changed the name to Goregast, the inspiration from this name was a municipality from „Oderbruch-Gorgast“ in Germany. Just listen to our music a mix from Grindcore and Death Metal and make your own Opinion to it. In February 2005- we recorded 3 songs on a 8-ways recorder, this was our Promotion CD. In June 2005- Jörn Böttcher left the Band, at his place came Ronny Thiel (ex-DISINTEGRATE) with the base In August 2005- we recorded in the Studio: (SOUNDFORGE RECORDINGS) in Berlin under the direction from Andreas Hilbert our first Album called: " Viva el Animal ". We move us textually in Spanish, German and English, we write our songs about the life of animals and plants, the bad attitude or the people in front of all the animals and revolution from single paramilitary animal unities.
