Founded in 1997, Profanation hit the scene some time ago. The first line up contained Alex on guitar/ vocals, Luxl on bass and Anja on drums. First gigs were played in 98/99 in german clubs. In february 2000, Anja left the band and Luxl switched over to drums. A new bass player was found soon in Anton and in summer a second vocalist, Hippi joined the band. Doing lots of live gigs the band grew together and in summer 2001 Profanation released their first cd, called "Dead man rotting". It was self-financed and got real good reviews all over europe. Due to some problems like the failing effort to incorporate a second guitar player the next years went by with only few gigs played. 2005 saw our return with the second album, called "Dead body fuck". It contained 10 songs including covers of "Pounding metal" from Exciter and "Consequence" from Ulcerous phlegm. Again it's self-financed, but Morbid Records, the biggest german label for that kinda metal are doing some promotion and distribution. The cd is a real killer and got great reactions by now. In summer 2005 a new second guitar player named Christoph joined in. He's doing fine and we'll take the next step up, as there's a lot more possiblities for our upcoming compositions.
